We answer every message, usually within two working days.
If something isn't working, include a report: open Glasscast's Settings, choose the Glasscast tab, click Copy Report, and paste it into your email. It tells us your app version, your Mac and what went wrong, without any passwords or playlist addresses.
Common questions
Does Glasscast come with channels?
No. Glasscast is a player for the IPTV service you already have. You add your provider's Xtream Codes sign-in or an M3U playlist, and Glasscast shows what that provider offers.
How do I add my provider?
Press ⌘N, or choose Add Source when Glasscast opens for the first time. For an Xtream Codes account, enter the server address, user name and password your provider sent you. For a playlist, paste its link or choose the file. You can add more than one.
Where is the programme guide?
Xtream Codes providers supply the guide themselves, and Settings → Profiles → Refresh Guide loads it again. For a playlist, Glasscast reads the guide address the playlist names; if it names none, enter your provider's XMLTV address when you add the playlist.
A channel freezes or keeps buffering
Glasscast reopens frozen streams by itself. Press ⌘I during playback to see the stream status panel: it compares what the stream needs with what is arriving and says whether the provider, your connection or your Mac is the cause. Most providers allow one connection at a time, so close the stream on other devices, and note that downloads pause while you watch.
A film or series has no description or poster
Glasscast fills in what your provider leaves out from Wikipedia, Wikidata and TVmaze (Settings → Details → Glasscast Library). Films have fewer open posters than series. For the fullest information, add your own free TMDB key in Settings → Details.
How does the free trial work?
Start the 7-day trial from the app. Everything works during it, and it ends by itself: nothing renews and nothing is charged. After it ends, a one-time purchase unlocks Glasscast for good.
I bought Glasscast on another Mac
Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, then choose Restore Purchase in Settings → Glasscast.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Can I watch offline?
Yes, if your provider allows it. Use the download button on a film, an episode or a whole season. Downloads resume after a break and live in Glasscast's own storage on your Mac.
