Terms of Use
Effective 15 October 2026
Glasscast is a player. It comes with no channels, films or series, and you may only use it with content you have the right to watch.
The agreement
Glasscast is licensed to you, not sold, by Consenteo Ventures Sp. z o.o., Poland ("we"). When you get Glasscast from the Mac App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your use of the app. These terms add to that agreement; where the two disagree, Apple's agreement wins.
Your content and your provider
- Glasscast doesn't provide, host, sell or link to any television channels, films or series. Everything it plays comes from the provider, account or playlist you add yourself.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to watch what you add, under your provider's terms and the law where you live. Don't use Glasscast to watch content without the rightholder's permission.
- We are not affiliated with any IPTV provider and are not responsible for their service, its availability or its content.
Free trial and unlock
- Glasscast is a free download with a free 7-day trial that you start in the app. The trial doesn't renew and doesn't turn into a payment.
- After the trial, a one-time in-app purchase unlocks Glasscast for good. There is no subscription.
- Purchases are made, billed and refunded by Apple under the App Store's terms. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. You can restore the unlock on your other Macs with the same Apple Account.
- Test builds shared outside the App Store stop playing on the date they show, and are not for sale.
Film and series information
Descriptions, cast, pictures and episode details come from Wikipedia and TVmaze (CC BY-SA 4.0), Wikidata (CC0), and, if you add your own key, from TMDB. They are shown as those sources publish them and may be incomplete or wrong. Glasscast uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. If you add a TMDB key, you must follow TMDB's own terms for it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Glasscast or the Glasscast Library service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to overload or misuse the service, for example by sending it automated requests outside the app.
Open-source parts
Glasscast's player engine is built from mpv, FFmpeg and other libraries licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Their licences, not these terms, govern those libraries, including your right to replace them. See Licences and credits.
Changes and availability
We may update Glasscast, change or end the Glasscast Library service, and update these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page and its effective date.
Liability
Glasscast is provided as described in Apple's agreement. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for problems caused by your provider, your internet connection, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
